Former Streetball Legend James “Fly” Williams Faces 56 Charges As Alleged Drug Kingpin

Williams played both football and baseball during his youth, but eventually shifted all of his attention towards the game of basketball. After beginning his career at James Madison High School, Williams ended up prepping at Glen Springs Academy. He parlayed this success into a college scholarship at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. After a tumultuous two seasons at school and then an unsuccessful stint in the ABA with the Spirits of St. Louis, Williams had few options.

With his basketball career hanging by a thread, Williams opted to head back home — where he dabbled in another, much more dangerous enterprise.
