“Dos a Cero” strikes again.
The U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team triumphed over Mexico with a score of 2-0, securing their third consecutive Concacaf Nations League title. The final, held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, was played in front of 60,000 spectators and saw multiple play delays due to offensive chanting.
Getting to the final wasn’t easy for the U.S. team. They had a tough game against Jamaica in the semifinals, where they were losing until a lucky, last-minute goal helped them tie the game and eventually win 3-1 in extra time. Mexico got to the final by beating Panama 3-0, setting up another classic confrotation with their CONCACAF rivals.
In the final, Tyler Adams and Gio Reyna were the stars for the United States. Adams scored a fantastic goal from 30+ yards right before halftime. It was a special moment, as he hadn’t played for the U.S. for more than 400 days due to injuries. Reyna, who has also experienced his injury woes, added another goal in the second half, securing the U.S. win and the trophy.
This victory keeps the U.S. team’s good run going against Mexico, with seven games now without a loss.
