21. Romelu Lukaku: Manchester United/Belgium
Lukaku just recently cracked the list as one of the world’s highest-paid strikers. The Belgian had bounced around multiple EPL clubs before signing a mega-deal with Manchester United. Jose Mourinho’s side paid £75 million for his services. In terms of a weekly salary, Lukaku registers at a cool £250,000 ($323,581). Over the course of the year, the Belgian international will earn upwards of $15.5 million. This is a pretty nice pay-day for a player who won’t turn 25 years of age until May of next year.

20. Mesut Özil: Arsenal/Germany
The dynamic left-footed midfielder surprised many when he departed Real Madrid in favor of Arsenal. Whilst at the Bernabéu, Özil led La Liga in assists on multiple occasions — including one season in which he accrued 26. Alas, the Gunners splashed down plenty of cash for his services. It included a hefty raise from his prior contract. Arsenal is paying the German playmaker a $10.5-million salary (which also includes bonuses). Over the course of the year, Özil will be banking $17.5 million. With that sort of money, he can buy all the schnitzel he wants.
