Zico was the prototypical Brazilian attacking midfielder. A trickster with the ball at his feet, Zico routinely evaded and wiggled around defenders with a myriad of moves. His silky touch also led to a high amount of assists. Historically speaking, he’s one of the best free-kick takers to ever play. Though Zico was unable to win a World Cup, he was recognized as a two-time World Player of the Year.
18. Gerd Müller
Playing for Bayern Munich and West Germany, Müller was a goal machine. He notched 398 goals in 453 appearances for Bayern. Müller was clever and quick from the striker position. He routinely devastated opponents with his cheeky and efficient finishes inside the box. During World Cup play, Müller was simply sensational. He notched 14 goals within the two tournaments he featured in. In total, he scored 68 goals in 62 matches for the National team.
