17. Dino Zoff
Zoff holds the distinction as being the oldest goalkeeper (40 years old) to ever win the World Cup – as Italy took the title in 1982. Though not exceptionally big for the position, Zoff was masterful when it came to positioning and agility. Zoff’s vocal ability also came into play – as he constantly communicated with his backline. Juventus won six Serie A titles with Zoff between the pipes.
The Portuguese international scored a ridiculous 638 goals in 614 games for Benfica. Athletically, Eusébio was ahead of his time – using pace, strength, and agility to overpower opponents. He led Benfica to 11 Primeira Liga titles and one European Cup. In terms of being a pure goal scorer, very few are on par with the Portuguese legend.
