32. Jamison Crowder — New York Jets
2019 Stats: 16 games played (12 starts), 122 targets, 78 receptions, 833 yards, six touchdowns
Ranking each team’s No. 1 receiver is a far different exercise than the ranking of starting quarterbacks. The pool of great (even competent) QB’s is thin, and hurlers who make up the back-end of the 32-player list are often seen as less than desirable commodities. That’s not the case with wideouts. The wide receiver position is deep and filled with talent. Most teams even have multiple gifted players at the position.
Though Crowder ranks as No. 32, that’s not to say he isn’t a capable pass catcher. Crowder is just one catch away from 300 career receptions, and is still just 27 years old. He also has doubled as a return man in the past. The Jets could do far worse than Crowder as Sam Darnold’s top option.
