Start: Jerick McKinnon — San Francisco 49ers (at NYG)
On a Sunday filled with countless horrible injuries, the 49ers may have taken the biggest blow. In their Week 2 matchup with the Jets, the 49ers saw franchise quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, bell cow back Raheem Mostert, and stud defensive end Nick Bosa all exit due to injuries. San Francisco now has serious questions on both sides of the ball, but one thing we’ve learned over the years is that it doesn’t matter who’s starting at tailback for the Niners. The scheme and gameplanning from coach Kyle Shanahan allows all different types of backs to flourish. McKinnon looked good while spelling in the backfield, and with Mostert and Tevin Coleman both possibly missing this game it could be time for the former Viking to shine.
