Re-Drafting The Ridiculously Talented 2012 NFL Draft

27. Cincinnati Bengals: Zach Brown — LB

Original Spot For Brown: 52nd Overall
Original 27th Pick: Kevin Zeitler – OG

Brown is your typical sideline-to-sideline linebacker. Though he’s a thumper when careening downhill through running alleys, he’s also exceptionally gifted in regards to speed. Brown has legitimate 4.4 speed from the linebacker spot. It enables him to not only stay with receivers and tight ends downfield, but also gives him a fighting chance to disrupt screen plays — and passes which are designed to get smaller players in space. Brown has the athletic ability to fit in with any scheme. This would in theory make him attractive for a team picking late in the first round. There’s always room for an active ‘backer with above-average anticipatory skills and speed.
