Post-Draft NFL Power Rankings, From Best to Worst

1. Kansas City Chiefs

Last Year: 12-4, Defeated San Francisco in Super Bowl LIV

The Super Bowl LIV champs are the NFL’s clear No. 1 team entering the 2020 season. Patrick Mahomes has been Kansas City’s starting quarterback for two years. The superstar has led the Chiefs to back-to-back 12-4 finishes, an appearance in the AFC Championship two years ago, and a Super Bowl victory last season. With a plethora of offensive weapons — including Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce — surrounding Mahomes, the offense is nearly unstoppable.

Making matters worse for opposing teams, Kansas City also employs some defensive studs. Tyrann Mathieu is one of the best safeties in football. An argument can be made that defensive tackle Chris Jones is also one of the best players at his position. Joining Jones on the defensive line is Frank Clark — an electric defensive end who notched five sacks in Kansas City’s three-game march to the Super Bowl. With a top-3 kicker in Harrison Butker and Tyreek Hill’s unmatched ability in the return game, KC also has a strong special teams. Good luck, everyone.
