Philip Rivers and Drew Brees will be forever linked in the annals of the NFL.
Both will end up as Hall of Famers once their playing careers end. Brees was a member of the Chargers during the early portion of his career. Rivers was drafted fourth-overall in the 2004 NFL Draft as a backup to the former Purdue star.
With somewhat of a contractual dispute, Brees opted to leave for New Orleans — thus allowing for Rivers to take over the franchise as the starting signal-caller.

The sons of both quarterbacks squared off versus one another in a local San Diego flag football match.
One day, maybe we’ll see the offspring face off in the NFL.
