NFL Rank: The 25 Best Players in 2021

25. Khalil Mack, Outside Linebacker, Chicago Bears

Word is the Las Vegas Raiders looked into reacquiring Mack from the Bears. Pretty interesting after head coach Jon Gruden claimed that Mack had no desire to be a Raider. Though the star rush linebacker has failed to record double-digit sacks each of the last two seasons (8 ½ in 2019 and nine in 2020), he’s still among the best defenders in the game. Since the start of the 2014 season, Mack’s 70 ½ sacks rank seventh over that span. Chicago expects that level of dominance to continue as it tries to reach the postseason for a third time in four years.

24. Alvin Kamara, Running Back, New Orleans Saints

It will be interesting to see how Kamara fares without Drew Brees running the offense in New Orleans. Jameis Winston gets new life with the Saints, but it’s uncertain what that means for Kamara. Still, he’s one of the NFL’s most versatile performers with 6,164 rushing and receiving and 58 combined touchdowns in four NFL seasons. At this moment, it’s fair to call Kamara the Saints’ most potent offensive option.
