There’s often crossover between professional athletes and music.
Some athletes have a fondness for music — and will use their respective platform to promote an album. Others utilize their free time to create a serious passion project. As it pertains to Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell, it’s apparent that he loves to rap.
He recently released a 16-track album entitled “Post Interview” under the alias ‘Juice.’ His album has reached as high as No. 9 on the iTunes hip-hop album chart. There’s one track in particular, entitled “Shrimp Bayless” — where he takes some not-so veiled shots at Fox Sports 1 commentator Skip Bayless:
Bell roasted the controversial media pundit — splicing together his own lyrics with sound bites of Bayless and Shannon Sharpe criticizing the running back.
Also releasing an EP was Green Bay Packers TE Martellus Bennett. Paying homage to the iconic cartoon Doug, Bennett released this album cover:
The EP entitled “I’m Not a Rapper But Some of My Friends Are…” features five tracks on soundcloud. Bennett raps under the name ‘MartysaurusRex.’
