Johnny Manziel’s Career Plummets Further With Latest News Regarding Nike/Agent

Everything seems to be getting worse and worse for Johnny Manziel. The former Cleveland Browns quarterback took two more major hits on Tuesday.

To start it off, Manziel lost his second agent of the offseason, Drew Rosenhaus. The former Heisman Trophy winner was warned by Rosenhaus to seek treatment earlier in the week, but Manziel didn’t oblige. However, Rosenhaus is still the agent of another troubled NFL player and one of Mazniel’s good friends, Josh Gordon.

Now, to go along no agent and no job, Manziel has also lost his biggest marketing deal. Nike terminated their contract with the 2014 first-round pick. It’s interesting to note that since the start of the 2015 season, Nike has sold more Manziel jerseys than any other player.

It’s been a horrendous offseason for Manziel. He was most recently involved in a hit-and-run accident in Los Angeles and the quarterback is also facing allegations of assault in Dallas, Texas.

Despite all of this, Manziel says he hopes to get everything together and play in the NFL this season.

“I’m hoping to take care of the issues in front of me right now so I can focus on what I have to do if I want to play in 2016,” Manziel said. “I also continue to be thankful to those who really know me and support me.”

There is no doubting the former Texas A&M star’s talent, but his off-field issues have reached an insurmountable level. If Manziel has any hope of playing in the league this season, he will have to turn things around immediately.
