New England Patriots: A+
Bill Belichick had been waiting for this moment. The franchise had been cutting costs in order to load up on what’s been a very successful free agency period. New England completely revamped its roster after accruing a ton of cash. The first order of business involved re-signing some of the team’s more important players. David Andrews, Deatrich Wise Jr., Justin Bethel, Cam Newton, James White, and Lawrence Guy were all brought back.
Even more exciting for those in New England, the team loaded up with a number of high priced free agents. The TE room got loaded with ability, as both Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith were brought in on multi-year deals. New England poached three former players from rival Miami (Kyle Van Noy, Ted Karras, Davon Godchaux). Finally, the Pats nabbed an elite OT in Trent Brown, two solid WR upgrades in Kendrick Bourne and Nelson Agholor, and a pass rushing threat in Matthew Judon. Watch out for the Patriots…they’re coming.
