Defensive End: JJ Watt, Houston Texans

Is anyone shocked here? Didn’t think so. Last year, Watt racked up 76 tackles and led the league in sacks (17.5). He has won the Defensive Player of the Year Award 3 of the 5 seasons he has been in the league, and could very well win the outright MVP if he continues his dominance. A defensive player hasn’t won the MVP since Lawrence Taylor did it in 1986, but with a few touchdowns and a strong season by the Texans, Watt has a tremendous chance.
