CB Marcus Peters
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta has claimed that Marcus Peters will return to the team in 2022. Some speculated that the veteran corner could wind up being a cap casualty. Peters missed the entire 2021 season with a torn ACL, and comes with an enormous cap hit of $15.5 million next season. The Ravens are unlikely to cut Peters, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they attempted to deal him away to try and acquire a draft pick or two.
After all, the team would get nothing in return if they simply released Peters. Even with his injury history, Peters would garner significant interest around the league. Pairing him in Dallas with All-Pro Trevon Diggs almost seems too perfect. Two of the most natural ball hawks in the league would have opposing quarterbacks thinking twice about tossing the ball around the field.
Prediction: Peters gets traded to the Dallas Cowboys for a fourth-round pick (No. 127)
