24. Solomon Thomas
Drafted: Round 1/Pick 3 (2017)
Thomas rose up draft boards considerably prior to his selection in 2017. Scouts salivated over Thomas’s versatility as an edge rusher, an interior lineman, and a defensive end in a 3-4 scheme. Thus far, the former Stanford star hasn’t been great. Now in his third year, Thomas has accumulated career totals of 5.0 sacks and 14.0 TFL. Those numbers aren’t poor — though more production is expected out of a top-five pick. It also likely doesn’t help his confidence when the 49ers opted to draft another defensive lineman (Nick Bosa) No. 2 Overall in the ’19 NFL Draft.
