2021 NFL Starting QBs, Ranked

32. Zach Wilson — New York Jets

2020 Stats (BYU): 12 games, completed 247-of-336 passes, 3692 yards, 33 TD, 3 INT

For the second time in four seasons, the Jets used a top draft selection on a QB. Is it going to work out any better the second time around? A regime change was signaled after the Jets made Robert Saleh their new head coach, and jettisoned former starter Sam Darnold to the Panthers. Now, the franchise is in the hands of the No. 2 pick, Zach Wilson.

Wilson was a one-year wonder at BYU. After struggling with his decision-making and mechanics in ’19, Wilson enjoyed a dominant ’20. The BYU signal caller threw for 33 scores to just three picks, and completed 73.5-percent of his passes. Wilson’s ability to make difficult throws on the run is reminiscent of some of the top QB’s in the league. The Jets hope that can translate to the next level, though the front office will need to add some more weapons around their young quarterback.
