2016 NFL Re-Draft: First Round Do-Over

27. Green Bay Packers – DeForest Buckner – DL

Original Spot For Jones: 7th Overall (San Francisco 49ers)
Original 27th Pick: Kenny Clark – DT

Buckner was a staple for the 49ers defense all season long, having recorded six sacks in 16 appearances for the club. His versatility would allow the Packers to deploy him anywhere along the defensive front. Duly, Green Bay has been in desperate need of an additional pass rusher for quite some time.

26. Denver Broncos – Jared Goff – QB

Original Spot For Goff: 1st Overall (Los Angeles Rams)
Original 26th Pick: Paxton Lynch – QB

Siemian ended up being a serviceable signal caller for Denver in 2016. However, he is almost certainly not their answer for the long-term. Goff falls down the board due to his smallish frame and mediocre arm. With that said, he’s far more accurate than Lynch, and could greatly benefit from weapons such as Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders on the outside.
