Jim Brown, Larry Csonka, Art Monk, John Mackey, Marvin Harrison
Despite not being very relevant in the recent years, Syracuse surprisingly has a very rich football tradition. We can’t start without speaking about Jim Brown — an athlete who was truly before his time. Dominant and powerful, Brown played the running back position at a similar stature to many of the linemen he was playing against (think about that for a second). Csonka, Monk, and Mackey were all excellent talents, and Harrison was one of the better receivers in all football during the first decade of the 2000’s.
