25. Purdue Boilermakers (4-2)
Week 7 Result: Defeated Iowa 24-7
Nobody saw this coming, but perhaps we shouldn’t be too surprised with Purdue’s triumph over then-No. 2 Iowa. Dating back to 2017, the Boilermakers have won four-of-five against Iowa. Purdue controlled the contest throughout, and held Iowa off the scoreboard for the final 33 minutes of the game. Quarterback Aiden O’Connell threw for 375 yards and accounted for three touchdowns — two pass, one rush. Wideout David Bell was an unstoppable force on the outside and gave Iowa fits. The junior caught 11 passes for 240 yards and a score. Purdue can take down a second big-name opponent this weekend when it plays Wisconsin.
