Which Hall of Famers Do These Young NBA Stars Remind You Of?

Giannis Antetokounmpo – Shaquille O’Neal

Shaquille O’Neal probably won’t want to hear this comparison. However, there are some real similarities between “Superman” and “The Greek Freak”. Like O’Neal, Antetokounmpo is one of the most jaw-dropping athletes currently in the NBA. He engulfs peers with his combination of sheer size and quickness. In fact, both athletes were essentially unparalleled when combining those two facets. Each are better passers of the basketball than given credit for. When possessing the ball around the rim, neither will be deterred by anything. Antetokounmpo’s length is ridiculous, and Shaq’s innate power was not to be denied by anyone. Defensively, both are rim protectors to the highest degree.

In terms of the unsavory aspects of their respective games, both struggle immensely as it pertains to shooting the basketball. Shaq couldn’t convert on free throws consistently enough, and the same issues are hindering Antetokounmpo. Even worse, the Athens native is failing to hit threes at even an average level. Whether it’s a mental thing or the fact his hands are too big to properly grip the basketball, it’s a real issue at this point for the multi-time MVP.
