After starting a rivalry with Charles Barkley, LaVar Ball — the father of star UCLA point guard Lonzo — then set his sights on LeBron James.
Ball questioned whether LeBron’s two sons would ever be able to live up to the hype their father has created:
“The monsters in the NBA, their dads wasn’t that good. They were OK, they was players, but the fact that the old (Dell) Curry wasn’t no all-star, he wasn’t cold. He could shoot the ball, though. Kobe Bryant, his dad wasn’t all that, that’s why he’s such a monster. You got LeBron, it’s going to be hard for his kids because they are going to look at them like, ‘You got to be just like your dad.’”
LeBron took offense to these comments, and followed with this retort:
“Keep my kids’ name out of your mouth. Keep my family out of your mouth. This is dad to dad, it’s a problem now. He can talk about his brand, talk about his sons, talk about basketball, talk about me. But keep my family out of this.”
Ball has truly done a terrific job of growing not only the brand of himself and his sons, but also the family clothing line, Big Baller Brand. Appearing regularly on talk shows and sports programs, Ball is quickly becoming a household name.
On Wednesday, the Cavaliers squared off with the Nuggets on the road in Denver. Not only did the Nuggets win the game by 13, but James was called out courtside by Denver sideline reporter Vic Lombardi:

While Lombardi was poking fun and playfully going at James, there’s no word on whether the Cavs’ star was offended or not.
LOVE how LaVar Ball fired back at The King by calling LeBron "touchy." He sure is. Drama King. LaVar wins AGAIN. Ball don't lie.
