Anthony Davis
Following his pivotal role in leading the Kentucky Wildcats to an NCAA championship in 2012 and earning the finals MVP, Anthony Davis made the leap to the NBA, getting selected 1st overall by the New Orleans Pelicans. Despite his seven-season tenure with the Pelicans, where he was an All-Star every season but his first, he saw playoff action only twice. It wasn’t until his move to the L.A. Lakers that Davis clinched an NBA championship in 2020 alongside LeBron James. During the Lakers’ victorious playoff journey, Davis averaged 27.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, earning him a place on both the All-NBA First Team and First-Defensive Team for the 2019-20 season, and marking him as one of the best players in the game right now.
