Re-Drafting The Absolutely Terrible 2013 NBA Draft

23. Solomon Hill – Indiana Pacers

Original Spot For Hill: 23rd Overall (Indiana)
Original 23rd Pick: Solomon Hill

Hill was drafted originally by the Pacers…and will end up right back with the Pacers in this re-draft. The Los Angeles native has the look of a burgeoning “3 and D” player. Hill is active on the defensive side of the floor — routinely utilizing both length and physicality. He isn’t great from three (a career 33.6-percent shooter). However, Hill is fairly decent when attacking the rim.  Snagging a starting small forward in the latter portion of the first round is a boon for Indiana.

22. Matthew Dellavedova – Brooklyn Nets

Original Spot For Dellavedova: Undrafted
Original 22nd Pick: Mason Plumlee

“Delly” would bring some much-needed toughness to the young Nets’ squad. The Australian uses his body as well as any non-post player in the game today. Picture a pesky irritant on the defensive end of the floor…and then realize that the “irritant” is a solid 6’4″ 198 pounds. Dellavedova is certainly no fun to play against for opponents. Offensively, he’s a career 38.9-percent shooter from three-point land. For a fringe starter/reserve, this is quite good.
