Re-Drafting The 2016 NBA Draft 2 Years Later

26. Philadelphia 76ers — Timoth√© Luwawu-Cabarrot

Original Spot For Luwawu-Cabarrot: 24th Overall (76ers)
Original 26th Pick: Furkan Korkmaz

The hardest part about success in the NBA is that certain players will have to take background roles. The 76ers massively overachieved in 2018, breaking through any preconceived expectations media pundits had about the club. Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid have blossomed into legit superstars, and Brett Brown spent the year tinkering the lineup to find the best supporting cast to surround them with. Robert Covington and T.J. McConnell ended up being beneficiaries of the success, but 2016 first-round pick Luwawu-Cabarrot had to accept a lesser role.

TLC needs to become a better shooter if he wants a major part in Philly’s rotation, but for now, he’s a gritty player that makes hustle plays. Those types of players fit in well on teams with supreme talent.
