Ranking The NBA’s 30 Best Players For 2021

30. Jamal Murray

2019-20 Stats: 18.5 points, 4.8 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 0.3 blocks, 1.1 steals, 55.9 TS%, 59 games played

Murray is one of the more polarizing young stars in today’s game. His counting numbers don’t pop off the screen, and he sometimes disappears for stretches of games. However, he has turned into an offensive dynamo in the playoffs two seasons in a row now, and seems to be developing the sort of consistency we expect out of a future star.

When he’s going offensively, Murray is a flame-thrower who can completely shift the tide of a game. Murray carved up three elite defenses in the Jazz, Clippers and Lakers during his emphatic postseason run. He can fill it up from all levels, has great range, and a plethora of jaw-dropping moves to finish around the rim. His confidence should be through the roof once the NBA returns.
