Milwaukee’s starting shooting guard Malik Beasley is in a similar spot to Trent Jr. However, there are a few key differences. For one, Beasley is being paid roughly $16 million less than Trent Jr. this season. Beasley is also two years older. It should be noted Beasley is currently enjoying a better season. He’s played nearly every game for one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference and is among the leaders in three-point percentage on a high volume of attempts. His defense is dismal which could lead the Bucks to look for a different backcourt partner with Damian Lillard. The Heat are always in need of shooting, and they have enough solid defensive players already in place to mitigate Beasley’s biggest weakness.
