Kyrie Irving Reveals Disturbing Reason For His Absence During Cavs-Thunder Game

When the Cleveland Cavaliers took the court in a pivotal showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, the “Big 3” of LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving was in full force. However, it didn’t last long, as Irving was forced to leave after only playing nine minutes.

Luckily for Cleveland, they didn’t need their star point guard in this one. The Cavaliers put together their most impressive performance of the season en route to a 115-92 victory on Oklahoma City’s home court.

While many expected Irving to be dealing with a minor sickness, he had a shocking announcement as to why he exited the game early. “Our team said I was out with flu-like symptoms. It was honestly from the bed bugs from the frickin’ Hilton that we stayed at.”

The Cavaliers stayed at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City, which is where most NBA teams stay when they travel to face the Thunder. However, this hotel is notorious for being haunted by a ghost named “Effie,” as countless members from the NBA have shared their own personal horror stories over the years.

The normally calm and collected Irving was visibly upset over the whole ordeal, continuing, “It’s just like bed bugs and I didn’t get any sleep. We came into the game, then I was freaked out, then I started feeling nauseous, so it was just a whole bunch of B.S., honestly.”

A few NBA teams have elected to no longer stay at the Skirvin when traveling to Oklahoma City. While Cleveland has not yet announced if they will join that list, you can be sure Kyrie won’t step foot in that hotel ever again.
