WINNER – Texas Rangers
The biggest winner at the trade deadline is the Texas Rangers, as the AL West leaders significantly bolstered their chances of making a run in October. Currently sitting atop the division with a 62-44 record, the Rangers managed to add two impact bats to their lineup while managing to hold onto two of their top prospects, Joey Gallo and Jurickson Profar. In adding Carlos Beltran and Jonathan Lucroy at the last minute of the deadline to an already productive lineup, Texas now boasts a fearsome group poised to challenge for the AL crown. While the Rangers were unable to add the starter they needed, the new impact bats and retained prospects make them the biggest winner of the deadline.
