The 26 Greatest Managers In MLB History

25. Bob Melvin

From 2011-2021, Bob Melvin patrolled Oakland’s dugout and somewhat flew under the national radar. Melvin led the A’s to back-to-back 97-win seasons in 2018-19, and a third-straight trip to the postseason in ’20. Despite dealing with financial limitations, Melvin has consistently proven he can manage with the best of them. As he enters his first season in charge of the San Diego Padres, Melvin sports a career-record of 1,346-1,272 in 18 seasons.
