The 2019 season was a resounding success for the Twins. The team won 101 games, scored the second-most runs in baseball and hit a whopping 307 home runs. Their reward? A three-game sweep at the hands of the Yankees. In adding Josh Donaldson to the lineup and a slew of experienced pitchers to the rotation, Minnesota did enough to solidify its standing in the division. The Indians and White Sox could push the Twins for a few months, but neither team will have enough to seriously challenge the reigning Central champs.

After smashing the record for most home runs by a team last season, the Twins boast an even more powerful lineup in 2020. The addition of Josh Donaldson to a lineup that already included eight players who hit 20-plus homers last year will prove to be too much for the rest of the offensively-inept AL Central.

The Twins have one of the deepest lineups in all of baseball. They furthered their pop even more with the addition of veteran Josh Donaldson. As it pertains to the rotation, Minnesota nabbed Rich Hill and Kenta Maeda from the Los Angeles Dodgers, as well as Jhoulys Chacin from Boston. The White Sox are still a year away from seriously contending, and Cleveland could be on the cusp of becoming a major seller. For that reason, Minnesota is the prohibitive favorite to win the division again.
