California’s capital city is far more affordable when compared to its neighbors (San Francisco, San Jose) to the south. It ranks within the top 15 nationally in terms of overall quality of life. There are a number of very good universities in the area, as well as an overall location close to a number of intriguing day-trip areas (such as Lake Tahoe or Napa). For those who commute to and from work, you’ll be pleased to hear that Sacramento is one of the least congested major cities in the United States.
