24. Dare to Dream: The Story of the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team (2005)

With respect to the men’s basketball team, has there been a more dominant run by a U.S. squad than the current and ongoing tear women’s soccer is on? It’s difficult to argue with the results. Since their first World Cup victory in ’91, the USWNT has taken home four Olympic gold’s and added three additional WC victories (’99, ’15, ’19). The documentary looks at the rise of the United States’ women’s soccer program, from its relatively unknown beginning to its dominance as a world power into the 2000s. The likes of stars Brandi Chastain, Mia Hamm and Julie Foudy are naturally featured.
