25. No No: A Dockumentary (2014)

A fascinating look into the life of late major league-pitcher Dock Ellis, who famously pitched a no-hitter for the Pittsburgh Pirates while under the influence of LSD. The outing came as a surprise to some as the one-time All-Star was never regarded as one of the game’s elite pitches. But for one night, Ellis was virtually unstoppable as he battered the 1970 San Diego Padres’ lineup. However, this film is more than just that moment, as it shows the pitcher’s lengthy battles with substance abuse and eventual recovery which led to Ellis becoming a counselor for other addicts.
