These 5 WWE Performers Deserve to Hold a Singles Belt

The WWE is as hot right now as it’s been in arguably 20 years. A plethora of stars have taken over the screen in a way that has given the company real juice. In fact, there are five wrestlers totally deserving to hold single titles right now. This is based on talent, longevity within the company, and the potential impact they’d offer as belt holders.

Big Bronson Reed

Reed’s push has been exciting and super successful. The six Tsunami splashes he splattered Seth Rollins with certainly got him buzz. The momentum continued with his feud opposite Braun Stroman. Never have we seen a wrestler literally pick up a ‘fan’ from the audience and toss him at another human. The splash onto Stroman from high up on a concrete wall was even more impactful considering Reed landed on a vehicle — breaking it in the process. We haven’t even seen Reed’s full repertoire yet, which includes excellent mic skills. He could be in contention for an IC belt shot once his storyline with Rollins wraps.

Jade Cargill

Cargill is half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Bianca Belair. Coming over from AEW, WWE has gently pushed Cargill, enabling her to get more in-ring experience rather than just squashing people a la Goldberg as she did in the other promotion. The sky truly is the limit here for Cargill. She has a tremendous look, both beautiful and physically imposing. We can only team of future matches where she squares off against the likes of Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair. Even having her split from Belair — leading to a feud between the two — makes a ton of sense.

Chad Gable

The direction with Gable hasn’t been the best. After being a babyface leader of the popular Alpha Academy, he turned heel in the wake of not winning the IC belt. Since then, remaining as a heel, he’s now the stable leader for American Made. We’d LOVE to see Kurt Angle come back in some capacity as perhaps a mouthpiece for Gable. He’s a tremendous worker, has a unique look, and deserves to hold a belt in some form or fashion soon. The rivalry with The Wyatt Sicks seems to have lost some steam, thus possibly opening up Gable to be more of a singles competitor once again.

Chelsea Green

Green deserves her flowers! You can make the case she’s the most entertaining female performer not named Rhea Ripley. The brat, prissy, rude character she’s established is utterly perfect. From her facial expressions to selling in the ring, she’s always one to put someone over. In all actuality, Green is a very physically gifted performer dating back to the days in Lucha Underground when she’d routinely fly through the air and often through tables. She’s clearly over with the fans despite being a heel. At some point, she deserves to hold a belt. A Chelsea Green title reign would be wildly fun to watch. We’re just scratching the surface of her performative skills.

Drew McIntyre

This one is a slam-dunk choice. You’re looking at a future World Heavyweight Title holder. McIntyre’s work for the company over the last year has been nothing short of sensational. The feud with CM Punk has carried WWE for the better part of the last few months. His work on the mic is excellent, and he continues to garner adoration and praise for his heelish deliveries and devilish grin. It’ll be fascinating to see what his arc will be after losing the grudge match to Punk at Bad Blood. He deserves some time off to recharge the batteries before reentering the picture as a title contender.
