Then and Now: Where Are These ’80’s Stars?

Ally Sheedy

New York native Ally Sheedy was a part of the group of young actors who emerged during the ’80s. You know — the group we’ve seen in various teen-based/young adult comedies. Sheedy’s breakout role undoubtedly came in The Breakfast Club (which also may be her most prominent role). After St. Elmo’s Fire and Heart of Dixie, things slowed down a bit for Sheedy.

Sheedy (pictured on the right) ended up marrying her ex-husband in 1992. The former couple have one son together. The indie film High Art (featuring Sheedy and Radha Mitchell) was among her most recent critically-acclaimed performances. She’s also made various guest spots on television shows (Kyle XY, Psych). Most recently, she’s starring in the comedy Single Drunk Female.
