The Secret Service Code Names for U.S. Presidents and Families in the White House

Gerald Ford: Passkey

Michigan native Gerald Ford famously took over for Richard Nixon in the wake of Nixon’s resignation from office. Interestingly enough, Ford was the only individual to serve as both president and vice president without ever being elected by the citizens of the country. His code name was passkey — perhaps since he was able to pass through the Electoral College process en route to the White House? Either way, it’s a rather curious Secret Service denotation.
