Born in Guyana, Letitia Wright is well on her way to becoming a household name. At the age of seven, Wright and her family moved to London, where she attended school and quickly found her love for acting. Wright joined the Identity School of Acting when she was 16, and just two years later took part in her first credited project — Holby City. That same year, 2011, Wright briefly appeared on the popular show Top Boy.
As Wright’s talent began to blossom, she landed some more notable roles — including ones in Black Mirror and Doctor Who. However, fans may best recognize Wright for her role as Shuri in Black Panther. As King T’Challa’s sister and the princess of Wakanda, Wright shined. Wright’s performance connected with the audience and helped lead to two more appearances (to date) as Shuri in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.
