Ana de Armas
Long before becoming a familiar actress in America, Ana de Armas was crushing the film scene in both Cuba and Spain. Born in Havana, Cuba, de Armas starred in a popular Cuban romantic drama titled Una rosa de Francia at the age of 16. After the success of her debut film and another project in Cuba, de Armas moved to Spain when she was 18. While there, the actress saw her popularity soar through her work in the series El Internado.
de Armas then made the move to Los Angeles and her American career began to take off. First, she starred in Knock Knock — a thriller directed by Eli Roth and starring Keanu Reeves. In 2016, de Armas appeared in War Dogs. Then, two years after appearing in Blade Runner 2049, de Armas wowed audiences with her performance in Knives Out. The Cuban sensation was nominated for a Golden Globe, but ultimately fell short of the award. Up next, de Armas will star in the latest James Bond film — No Time to Die.
