The Famous Parents Behind A-List Celebrities

Tracee Ellis Ross: Mother is Diana Ross

Diana Ross is absolutely iconic. The Detroit native was the lead voice of The Supremes — one of the most successful and highly respected female groups in the history of music. We could write gallery after gallery on Ross and her prowess as a vocal talent. Ross married a music executive in the ’70’s, and from that relationship came actress Tracee Ellis Ross.

After graduating from Brown, Ross transitioned fully into being a full-time actress. Her first big break came in the fun comedy Girlfriends. However, she’s most known for her role as Dr. Rainbow ‘Bow’ Johnson in Blackish. It was here where Ross accrued five Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award.
