25. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964) is a stop motion television movie that tells the story of Santa’s most famous reindeer, Rudolph. This movie animates the same story that is told through the popular Christmas song of the title, showing how Rudolph was ostracized by other reindeer throughout his life due to his bright nose. That is, of course, until Santa needs him one particularly foggy night.
The old fashioned style of animation and sound make this movie feel as warm and cozy as ever. It’s the perfect Christmas movie for when you don’t want to commit more than an hour to your television, but you want to feel the comfort of watching a classic Christmas tale. The animation is well done, the voices are fun, and the story truly never gets old.
