Ranking The Best Television Shows from the 1980’s

23. Growing Pains (1985-92)

Growing Pains was a fun family-based sitcom. Before Kirk Cameron turned into the current version of Kirk Cameron, he was a wisecracking yet charming alpha who prided himself as a bit of a savant when it came to getting with girls. He was buoyed by two loving parents (Joanna Kerns, Alan Thicke) and a multitude of siblings. It also marked the real emergence of Leonardo DiCaprio as a known entity. While there’s a lot to like about the show, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention on the on-screen chemistry between Cameron and Thicke.
