Beethoven

Off Netflix — January 1

Nobody likes someone who is mean to animals. In the 1992 family comedy titled Beethoven, a gorgeous St. Bernard is the unfortunate target of a group of hooligans. One day, George (Charles Grodin) and Alice Newton (Bonnie Hunt) come across a St. Bernard puppy. Unbeknownst to the couple, the puppy was part of a group of puppies that had been stolen from a pet store. The puppy, named Beethoven, soon grows into a massive dog. Unfortunately, a veterinarian named Dr. Herman Varnick has sinister plans for the Newton’s new dog.
