RANKED: The 18 Most Important Players in March Madness

16. Semi Ojeleye – F – SMU

Notable stats: 18.9 PPG, 6.8 RPG, shooting 42.8-percent on three-point attempts

The Duke transfer is incredibly efficient on the offensive end. A combo-forward, he’s equally comfortable out on the perimeter as he is when driving to the cup. If SMU makes a deeper-than-expected run in the tournament, it will be because of Ojeyele.

15. Donovan Mitchell – G – Louisville

Notable stats: 15.7 PPG, 2.1 SPG, 4.6 RPG

The first team All-ACC selection set the tone for Louisville on the offensive end of the floor. When Rick Pitino’s offense stagnates, Mitchell’s aggressiveness ramps up considerably. Louisville always seems to have one guard capable of carrying them for a few games in the tournament. Mitchell will be that guy in 2017.
