RANKED: The 26 Greatest Boxers of All-Time

24. Ezzard Charles

Charles was a lionhearted and dynamic competitor who handled an array of Hall of Famers. Perhaps most notably, in September 1950, Charles (95-25-1, 52 KOs) unanimously outscored Joe Louis to retain the heavyweight belt. Sadly, like many prizefighters, Charles’ record is distorted because he fought well past his prime for financial reasons. Regardless, Charles is an all-time great inside the squared circle.
