QB Deondre Francois is expected to make a big jump up from his successful freshman campaign. He demonstrated the ability to hurt defenses with both his arm and his running ability. The defense has immense talent at every level — led by DT Derrick Nnadi, LB Matthew Thomas, and DB Derwin James. DE Josh Sweat appears primed for a break-out season, and the likes of DB Tavarus McFadden and Ro’Derrick Hoskins are destined for All-Conference seasons.
Simply put, the ‘Noles are loaded. It’s the one team rivaling Alabama in terms of defensive talent. Should Francois continue to improve as a decision-maker, FSU will be in the College Football Playoffs.
