19 Bold Predictions For The 2019 MLB Season

Khris Davis Will Bat .247 For The 5th Straight Year

For four seasons in a row, power-hitting outfielder Khris Davis has finished the year batting exactly .247. Though his average has remained consistent, Davis’ home run totals have stacked up: 27 in ’15, 42 in ’16, 43 in ’17 and 48 in ’18. After signing a one-year deal worth $16.5 million (a monumental sum for the low-budget A’s), Davis will continue to launch bombs off of empty seats in the Oakland Coliseum. I see Davis’ hits, home runs and doubles increasing again in 2019, as they have every year since 2015. However, no matter what totals Davis amasses this year, he will again hit .247. Some things just aren’t meant to change.
