RANKED: The 38 Best Sports Movies of All-Time

35. The Sandlot (1993)

This film is a timeless classic. It’s as entertaining for children as it is for adults. The simplistic nature of playing a sport with a group of friends is something we all can appreciate — particularly during the summer months. This period piece has a group of nine friends romping around the neighborhood. While crass and crude, the story is heartfelt — and offers prominent themes of friendship. Additionally, the amount of cracks emanating from “The Great Hambino” (Patrick Renna) are comedic gold.
