30. The Crow (1994)
Rising from the dead to seek vengeance for his own murder, rock musician Eric Draven becomes the popular anti-hero, The Crow. During the rise of the genre, this movie stood apart from the rest with dark themes and a dreamy vibe. The quality of the superhero movies has come a long way since 1994, but no list would be complete without a nod to this pioneer. Hellboy is a demon determined to do right in his existence. He works for an international agency, “B.P.R.D.” which deals with supernatural threats across the universe. Although a sequel was made four years later, the first installment in the series stands tall in the series. Most admirable about the movie is the commitment to the comics, and the depth in which each main character is explored.
